Commonwealth Insurance Company was incorporated by an act of the Canadian Parliament
 on July 17, 1947 and has
operated as a federally registered insurer since April, 1950. The company is eligible to
write business on an excess and surplus lines basis in 44 U.S. states plus the District of
Columbia.
Commonwealth Insurance Company of America
Commonwealth Insurance Company of America was incorporated on October 26, 1994 and was
granted a certificate of authority to transact insurance on January 17, 1995. The company
is domiciled in Washington,
 and is licensed in 44 other states to carry on the business of insurance
(other than life insurance). The company’s operations and financial affairs are
managed by Commonwealth Insurance Company.
Commonwealth has offices in the heart of Downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. This
